Me and YouDear Tesco Book Blog readers,

Ever fallen for someone you shouldn’t? Or have you ever found yourself loving your best pal, but wanting to strangle her with her own knicker elastic at the same time?

Then read on. Because I’ve got some very exciting news to share with you all… My new book is finally out in paperback in the UK on 1st  August and I’m, as ever, like a big jelly of excitement and nerves!

Anyway,  just to tell you a wee bit about the book, Me and You centers around a heroine called Angie, who’s arranged to meet up with her best friend Kitty at a swanky health spa…only Kitty stands her up. Which is so not like her.

So Angie of course, does what any concerned pal would do, spirals off into a complete tailspin of panic, as does Kitty’s boyrfriend Simon.

In a blind panic, Angie and Simon go to the police and pretty soon, a nationwide search follows. But bubbling under it all is a whole other development; Simon and Angie’s ever-growing closeness. They say two people who suffer a mutual bereavement will bond so strongly you can’t imagine, and coping with the trauma of a much-loved missing person is every bit as painful. Yet the closer they grow, the more Kitty is like a constant shadow lying between them. Almost like a latter-day Rebecca . . .

And no, I’m not telling you any more! But let’s just say that I’m absolutely dying to hear from you.

Which leads me on to the very exciting “Star in your own Me and You story” competition exclusively for Tesco blog readers. I so enjoyed reading the wonderful, inspiring entries to my last competition on Tesco Blog – I even thought that some of them would make a wonderful basis for a book! Which gave me the idea for this competition; I’ll write a personalized short story for one Tesco Blog Reader … starring the winner as the hero or heroine.

All you have to do to enter is tell us your favourite story about a loved one. Could be literally anything! The book celebrates not just love and romance, but the resilience of a truly close friendship, so if you’d like to tell us a wee anecdote about how you met the love of your life, or maybe about how you met your best friend and what it was that really bonded you both, then I’d love to hear from you. And I’ll write a short story with you starring as the hero or heroine, so it’s your chance to appear  in your very own, personalized short story. And what’s more, the winner will receive 20 specially printed copies of Me and You with the personalized short story in the back to give to family, friend, and, of course, that special loved one.

I’m so excited and beside myself to hear all your anecdotes, so here’s to the launch of Me and You and I’ll be back very soon with more news…

Huge hugs,

Claudia xxxx
