We are getting very excited about our new BBC series and book, The Hairy Bikers’ Asian Adventure. It’s been our dream for a long time to travel to this part of the world and we’ve done our best to sample all of the brilliant food on offer across four countries, from street food to home cooking to the finest cuisine. We’ve discovered ingredients, techniques and tricks and we’ve brought them home to our kitchens – and now we want to share them with you.
Now, you might think that these Asian recipes, using all sorts of different types of food, are tricky to cook but they are easy and delicious. The main ingredients are things that you cook with all the time, like chicken, beef, fish and prawns. Yes, there are a few things in the recipes that you might not have heard of, but we’ll help you with those and soon you’ll be a dab hand with the dashi.
